The Board of Visitors passed a library fee during their spring 2013 meeting. This fee is $20 per semester for all students starting Fall 2014.
The library fee is designated to support programs and initiatives that directly benefit students. This includes the addition of new technology and furniture in the commons areas, as well as additional student assistant positions, textbooks for reserve, and campus-wide events, exhibits, and activities.
Additionally, nearly 5% of the fee is allocated to the Library Student Advisory Board. This group uses the funding to develop projects, select collections, or address other student needs.
