Librarians can serve as exam proctors for both Virginia Tech students and students of other institutions. We can proctor tests in Newman Library in Blacksburg and the Northern Virginia Center in Falls Church.
Start by filling out the Proctoring service request form . We can best accommodate your request when you submit your information as far in advance as possible; last minute request will be difficult for us to fill.
Please provide any additional information we'll need to assist you, such as computer needs, special accommodations, or advanced forms we'll need to complete. Once we have your information, we'll assign a proctor who will arrange a meeting location, time, and date.
If your test is online, Virginia Tech students can use their laptops (when allowed) or anyone can use our public computers (non-Virginia Tech students have no access to our wireless network).
Weekday visitors to campus must obtain a parking pass at the Visitor and Undergraduate Admissions Center if they wish to park on campus. A parking pass is not required to park at the center. Although passes to park on campus are not required on weekends, special parking rules prevail on days when the university is hosting home football and basketball game
