Public computers

Computers are available in Newman Library and all of the branches for our patrons' use. (You can see a map of which computers are open and available to use.) Computers in Newman Library are set to print to the photocopier/printer units located behind the main elevators on the first, second, and fourth floors.

Newman computers are maintained by Learning Technologies and now have a greater selection of software installed for Virginia Tech users with a PID/password. Public patrons can log in with a generic password posted on each computer; they have a smaller selection of software available to them. (Also see our page on software available in Torgersen labs.)
