Circulation/Reserve Services is located on the second floor of Newman Library near the main entrances located on Alumni Mall and Kent Street. Circulation/Reserve is responsible for the circulation and return of both library materials and reserve materials. We provide additional services for Virginia Tech students, faculty and staff, as well as residents of the State of Virginia. All patrons wishing to check out materials must present a valid ID.
Any staff member can assist you at the Newman Library Circulation/Reserve Desk. However, for specific concerns you may wish to speak to the Unit Manager, Brenda Pratt at 540-231-6340. The director of Access Services is Charla Lancaster; you may call her at 540-231-9406.
University Libraries have extended the loan periods of books for faculty, staff, and graduate students. Faculty and staff will now be able checked out books for a one year period with up to three renewals. Graduate students will now have a six month loan period on books with up to three renewals. Fri: close 8:00pm
Sat: 9:00am - 8:00pm
*During 24 hour operation, a valid Hokie Passport is required to access or remain in the library between 12 midnight and 7:30am.
