Import process

  1. Run search, mark records, add to marked list.
  2. Select Full Record, Tagged Text, then select EndNote from the pull-down menu located between the save and export buttons.
  3. Click export.
  4. Choose your library and the results are automatically imported.

Notes

In addition to the direct export is an option to save results as a text file and then import using the CAB Direct import filter. Use this revised import filter which has been edited by Margaret Merrill with the library staff. Be sure to save this filter in the same directory as your other filters.

Download EndNote (from campus network)

The university has a site license for the EndNote product and makes it available to all Virginia Tech faculty, staff, and students.

Only on campus users, which includes those connecting to the Internet via VPN, can download EndNote directly from the Software Distribution Office site. Once downloaded and installed, check periodically to see if there have been updates.
