Import process

  1. Search, mark records.
  2. Click on Export. You can export to EndNote or RefWorks.
  3. Select your EndNote Library and then select the appropriate import filter. FirstSearch databases are listed in the filter category OCLC.

Can connect directly to some FirstSearch databases. See list of all available Z39.50 databases. For technical specifications on connecting to the OCLC Z39.50 test server, see the FirstSearch Z39.50 Configuration Guide. Download EndNote (from campus network)

The university has a site license for the EndNote product and makes it available to all Virginia Tech faculty, staff, and students.

Only on campus users, which includes those connecting to the Internet via VPN, can download EndNote directly from the Software Distribution Office site. Once downloaded and installed, check periodically to see if there have been updates.
