Conference proceedings are publications that can include minutes, transcripts, papers, and presentations generated at or for a conference. Papers within the proceedings will be indexes by subject-specific databases, while the proceedings publication, often in book form, will be listed in library catalogs. The Virginia Tech libraries own many conference proceedings, either physically or through online sources; each of these will be listed in Addison. Papers in proceedings not owned locally can be requested through interlibrary loan. Major providers of proceedings are listed here:

AIP Conference Proceedings provide full-text papers in PDF for nearly all of their publications. 1970-present.
The ASABE Technical Library contains the full text of conference proceedings, meeting papers, journals, standards, and technical papers of the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (PDF and HTML). Some books and textbooks are also available (each chapter is a separate PDF).
The ASCE Library includes ASCE Conference Proceedings beginning in 1996, and all 33 ASCE Journal and Periodical volumes published since 1983 (all in PDF). (ASCE standards are not included.)
The ICE Virtual Library contains every peer-reviewed journal and conference proceedings produced by the Institution of Civil Engineers. Full text is available in HTML and PDF. 1836-present.
IEEE Xplore is a digital library providing full text access to the world’s highest quality technical literature in electrical engineering, computer science, electronics, and related disciplines. IEEE Xplore contains full text documents from IEEE journals, transactions, magazines, letters, conference proceedings, standards, and IET (Institution of Engineering and Technology) publications. The IMechE Proceedings Archive 1847-1996 indexes the full text of 200,000 pages of unique material, including technical papers, obituaries, meeting reports, technical drawings, and editorial comment, all covering some of the most influential and innovative years of engineering development. IAU Proceedings provides full-text papers in PDF. 2004-2007.
SPIE Digital Library provides full-text journals and conference proceedings on the physical sciences of optics and photonics. Full text available as PDFs. 1990-present.
USAHA provides full-text proceedings in PDF (one per volume). 2002-present.
