Conference proceedings are publications that can include minutes, transcripts, papers, and presentations generated at or for a conference. Papers within the proceedings will be indexes by subject-specific databases, while the proceedings publication, often in book form, will be listed in library catalogs. The Virginia Tech libraries own many conference proceedings, either physically or through online sources; each of these will be listed in Addison. Papers in proceedings not owned locally can be requested through interlibrary loan. Major providers of proceedings are listed here:
The ASABE Technical Library contains the full text of conference proceedings, meeting papers, journals, standards, and technical papers of the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (PDF and HTML). Some books and textbooks are also available (each chapter is a separate PDF).
The ASCE Library contains the pdf full text of all ASCE journals and conference proceedings. Full text journals are available beginning in 1983 (or from Volume 1, if journals start after 1983), and full text conference proceedings from 1996. (ASCE standards are not included.)
IEEE Xplore contains full text documents from IEEE journals, transactions, magazines, ebooks, letters, conference proceedings, standards, and IET (Institution of Engineering and Technology) publications. Full text content is provided as PDFs. 1893-present, full text from 1988-present.
