ECCO is a digitization project based on the English Short Title Catalogue. It delivers every significant English-language and foreign-language title printed in Great Britain during the eighteenth century, along with thousands of important works from the Americas. It includes books, pamphlets, essays, broadsides, directories, Bibles, sheet music, sermons and advertisements. There are over 33 million pages of searchable text.
ECCO is divided into seven general subject modules, illustrating its breadth of coverage. ECCO Part II is similarly broken into the same subject areas.
With the release of ECCO II, the download function has been expanded to allow a user to download up to 250 pages at a time. This will accommodate approximately 75% of the works in ECCO through a single download. For larger works, the user is able download the entire work, but will need to do so via two separate downloads, indicating the required page ranges.
