Marlene A Koenig

WAAC Library Coordinator

Marlene A. Koenig has been the WAAC Librarian since 2008. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from William Paterson College (now University) of New Jersey and a master's in library science from the State University of New York at Albany, where she specialized in reference and research. Prior to coming to Virginia Tech, Marlene worked as the librarian for the American Society of Landscape Architects in Washington, D.C. For more than twenty years, she was a news librarian with the Associated Press in New York City, CNN (as Library Manager), NPR and the Daily Telegraph in Washington, D.C.

Marlene is the author of numerous articles on British and European royalty and has written several books, including Queen Victoria's Descendants.

Students love Marlene's motto, which is "Please Bother Me!"
