Electronic theses and dissertations

This site houses Virginia Tech's online theses and dissertations Most ETDs are available as PDF and require Acrobat Reader for viewing.

You can search full text of all theses and dissertations submitted online since 1997. The library's bound theses and dissertations (i.e., pre-1997) are being scanned for online access as they circulate. All of these ETDs can be browsed by author and department. ETDs can also be found in Addison. Note: Many ETDs are restricted to VT-only access. You may need to use Off Campus Sign in.

Imagebase

Imagebase is a browsable/searchable database of images and related information (metadata), retrievable by 19 fields including subject, title, and creator. Both small thumbnail images and larger full-screen images are available to the Virginia Tech community.

Luna Insight

Search image collections, manipulate selected images, and create image-based presentations for classroom and professional use. Individual images can also be exported for use in other presentation software, such as PowerPoint and web pages. The Insight software and digital image collections hosted on the Virginia Tech site are available for use by Virginia Tech students and faculty. Contact Heather Gendron for a username and password.

WDBJ transcripts, Virginia Tech Spectrum, plus archives of the Collegiate Times, the Virginia-Pilot, and the Roanoke Times, and several international newspapers.
