Sign up for SpringerLink Alert service that covers over 2100 journals in a wide variety of disciplines.
To create alerts, you will first need to create an individual account. Use the Register Individual button. You will not have any tokens to enter.
To create a search alert, perform a search from Springer's homepage. Then at the top of your search results, use the Save this list icon (it looks like a floppy disc). On the Saved Item page, you can Rename this item to label your search. At the bottom of the page, you can choose how frequently the search should be performed and how the email should be formatted. Finally, use the Register button to create the alert. You can also subscribe to an RSS feed for this search.
To create a Table of Contents alert, use the search or browse function to find a journal of interest. Click through the title link to view the journal's homepage. At the top right of the journal's homepage, look for the Register for TOC Alerting link. Click through this link and look for the Table of Contents Alert for this Journal box on the right side of the page. Enter your email address twice to create the alert.
Once you are 'alerted' to the existence of a journal issue or article, check Addison to see if the library has a print subscription or the Ejournals database to see if there is online availability. For journal articles not owned locally or available electronically, submit a request through ILLiad.
