Library classrooms standard setup

Each library classroom computer has a standard configuration that includes the latest version of the Firefox web browser, Microsoft Office suite and Acrobat Reader.

Each day, software restores each computer to this standard configuration: deleting extra files and copying absent or changed files to the computer, including any sample files that have been provided for a class. This software will also install additional software on each computer, provided sufficient time is allowed to add the software to the classroom master.

Each classroom has a video projector and sound system with microphone to aid instruction. The number of stations is noted in the descriptions for each classroom, though extra chairs are available for larger classes. We recommend classes with more than 22 students be scheduled in the Newman classroom.

Each instructor's station has a printed set of network configuration options for laptop users. Use the ethernet cable from the existing instructor's computer.

Classroom computers are configured to print to the Library's Photocopy Office where printouts are 10¢ per page. There are no printers located in the classrooms. This configuration cannot be changed.
