These pages are intended to support instructional efforts at Virginia Tech and contain a variety of tools and resources used by the faculty and staff of the University Libraries. First launched in 2001, this site reflects our continuing efforts to utilize different means of assessment to enhance our instruction. Follow the links to the left to find assessment tools, instructional samples, suggested readings, and more.
While created for internal purposes, others are also welcome to utilize the materials found here. We ask that if you do so that you let us know and acknowledge our contribution to your efforts. Questions and comments may be directed to Ed Lener.
For more about efforts in the University Libraries to enhance instruction be sure to also view our Instruction Learning Community Blog.
Our primary tour option for individuals is a self-guided, audio tour with a graded quiz that can be used to show attendance for classes that require participation or give extra credit. Locations and services are highlighted, and the tour takes about an hour. You can use your mobile device or check out an iPad from the Circulation Desk.
