Hybrid guided tour and instruction session

Classes for new students (freshmen, transfer students, international students) and special programs for future college students can benefit from a combination library tour and instruction session. The tour allows student to orient themselves to the library collections and service points needed to complete their research, assignment, or project. The abbreviated instructions session can cover the basics of research strategies, a single database interface, or evaluation of sources.

If your assignment will require additional time to cover library resources, consider requiring your student go through the library's self-guided tour (iPads for the tour can be checked out from the Circulation Desk anytime Newman Library is open).

Instructors of ENGL 1105/1106/1204H or COM 1015/106 should use our Instruction and Classroom Request Form to arrange a hybrid session.

All other instructors should contact their college librarian to arrange a hybrid session.
