July 9, 2008 – We now have a greatly expanded collection of Safari Books Online ebooks. Previously, our subscription included about 900 ebooks. VIVA, the Virtual Library of Virginia, is now providing complete access to Safari titles: over 5800 ebooks are now available to Virginia Tech users.
The VIVA license also removes the 5 simultaneous user limit, so more users can use these ebooks at the same time.
The Safari collection is primarily focused on computer science related books, but the new additions now include some business titles.
Records for these new ebooks will soon be added to Addison.
