Jan. 28, 2011 – Since 2005, the University Libraries have subscribed to the Taylor and Francis Social Science and Humanities (SSH) Library online journal collection. Hosted on the Infomaworld platform, the SSH Library provided access to journals published by Taylor and Francis, Routledge, and Psychology Press.

The University Libraries strive to make available the highest quality and most appropriate scholarly resources for Virginia Tech faculty, staff, and students, while maintaining control over ever-rising journal subscription costs. Due to excessively high inflation costs and low overall usage of many package titles, the University Libraries have cancelled the SSH Library online journal collection, effective December 31, 2010. Beginning January 2011, the University Libraries will subscribe to over 100 carefully selected Informaworld journals in the social sciences and humanities, including some brand new journals.

There are several ways to find Informaworld titles available to the Virginia Tech community:

• Search for specific titles in the Libraries’ electronic journal database from the library home page or the Journal Title Database 
• Search for specific titles in the library catalog, Addison
• Search the Journals pages of Informaworld  for a specific journal title, or browse the title list.
• Refer to the list of subscribed titles below.

Content available to Virginia Tech users is marked with a green "Access" icon . If the content you need is blocked, please check the Journal Title Database for print or alternate electronic holdings. Many Informaworld titles are also available on the EBSCOhost platform. Please use Interlibrary Loan’s ILLiad system to request articles not available through the Journal Title Database.
