June 30, 2011 – There are two important developments related to SciFinder Scholar , the premier research tool for the chemical sciences.

First, an important reminder that the client software based version of SciFinder will be discontinued by CAS on June 30, 2011.  If you have not yet registered for the new web version of SciFinder Scholar, now would be a great time to do so. The new version features several enhancements including greater personalization, easier remote connections, and direct exporting to EndNote.

Second, a new mobile platform for SciFinder allows researchers to use web-enabled smartphones to access CAS databases via their mobile device. There is no need to download a special app to get started, just login with your SciFinder Web userid and password.  For more information, see CAS's help page.
