Newman Library participating in RecycleMania

Feb. 9, 2012 – Newman Library is increasing its recycling capacity as RecycleMania is in effect on campus. We have worked closely with Facilities Services and campus recycling to direct more materials into the recycling stream, including containers and discarded materials.

Green recycling bins for paper are located throughout the building, typically near the main elevators, the unisex restrooms, and at each service point. These bins accept any paper or cardboard that you can tear. Help keep these recyclables uncontaminated by not throwing trash or paper that has come in contact with food, including coffee cups, into these bins.

We have recently added blue bins for container recycling, including aluminum and steel cans, glass bottles, and plastic containers marked with #1-7. These bins are located near the water fountains closest to the main elevators on each floor so that you can easily empty these containers before discarding them.
