CSA and ProQuest databases have new search interface

New ProQuest interface

July 1, 2012 – Databases formerly found on the CSA Illumina and ProQuest search platforms are now all available on a new ProQuest search interface. Now that all of these databases are on the same platform, they can be cross-searched simultaneously. We have also created subject categories where you can search all the engineering databases (for example) together in a pre-selected list, or you can select your own set of databases for easy cross-discipline searching. All of these databases are also indexed in Summon.

Using the new My Research Account allows saving searches, emailing results, exporting citations, and creating email alerts and RSS feeds. The advanced search options allow limiting by date range, language, document type, and more. Deep Indexing technology indexes information within the images, which allows you to search and identify critical information that is often missed in charts, figures, and graphs. ProQuest uses an average of eight index terms to every image in a journal article. The new Cite This function will format selected citations in one of 20 citation styles.
