Update on language learning resources available through the libraries

Rosetta Stone

Jan. 21, 2015 – The libraries recently subscribes to the online version of Rosetta Stone, and this has replaced the installed versions available through the Language Resource Center. This online version requires logging in with a PID and password, meaning access by members of the public is no longer possible.

Our subscription to Mango will end on January 31, 2015. However, the Montgomery-Floyd Regional Library (and many other Virginia public library systems) makes Mango available to library card holders. We strongly recommend users of Mango take advantage of this resource. Residents of Montgomery or Floyd counties, including students living on campus, are eligible to receive a library card. (The public library offers many additional resources, including audio books and databases, that we do not.)

We also offer a number of Pimsleur audio CDs for learning a variety of languages that can be checked out from the circulation desk.
