Library classrooms

The libraries has several classroom spaces we use for our instruction sessions and workshops. They are also available for a limited number of reservations each semester.

  • SCALE UP classroom

The SCALE UP classroom, located in 100S Newman Library, is a new kind of classroom. It has seating for 72 students, in groups of nine at each of the eight tables. Each table has its own 70" flat-panel display (making eight total). Laptops can be reserved along with a document camera. The room is available as a study space between 7:00pm and 7:00am weekdays, and all day on weekends.

Additional chairs are available for larger classes.

  • Torgersen classroom

The Torgersen Library classroom, located in  3310 Torgersen, offers 22 student stations and one instructor station, a ceiling-mounted projector and large screen monitor, an Elmo document camera, VHS/DVD player, and Apple TV for projecting from iPads and iPhones.
