Reshelving rooms
Central Reshelving Rooms are located on floors 2 through 5 and are open to the public at all times to browse for books waiting to be returned to their appropriate locations.
- Room 2020 (Call numbers A - E, Reference Room, and Census collections)
- Room 3020 (Call numbers F - P, Juvenile, and Script collections)
- Room 4020 (Call numbers Q - Z, SciTech Reference, and Current Periodicals)
- Room 5020 (Call numbers T - Z)
The main re-shelving office is located on first floor, past the restrooms and near the microforms. This room is restricted, so ask at the Circulation Desk on the second floor for assistance in locating items that may be waiting here.
Specially trained student assistants pick up books and periodicals from book drops, tables and designated (red-labelled) shelves in the stacks, presort them onto generally labelled shelves in the reshelving rooms. The books are then organized in specific call numbers order on book trucks and returned to their proper location as soon as possible.

- First floor: Special collections, Folio A-Z, DOCS A-Y, Microforms
- Second floor: REF ROOM A-P and Z, Newspapers, call numbers A-E
- Third floor: Juvenile, Scripts, call numbers F-P
- Fourth floor: SCITECH REF Q-Z, Current periodicals A-Z, call numbers Q-S
- Fifth floor: call numbers T-Z
