This hands-on workshop will cover accessing and using online resources that are available for faculty, staff, and students in the National Capital Region through the University Libraries at Virginia Tech.
Topics will include:
• Services in the National Capital Region
• Accessing resources from off campus
• Planning and conducting your research
• Selecting online databases/indexes, performing searches, and finding articles
• Journals – electronic and print
• Addison – the Virginia Tech library catalog
• ILLiad – an online request form for items needed from Blacksburg and Inter Library Loan
