July 18, 2013 – Internet Protocol (IP) addresses in the National Capital Region are in the process of being changed. Since the majority of the libraries subscribed resources (databases, ejournals, and ebooks) use IP addresses to determine whether a user has access, until we can update these addresses with our vendors and database providers, users in the affected areas will need to make use of Off Campus Sign In.
We have been informed these buildings/complexes will be changing their IP addresses:
Library staff will have to change the configuration for hundreds of providers/platforms. This will take some time. If you are attempting to access a database, ejournal, or ebook and are asked for a password or payment, try using Off Campus Sign In and see if that enables access. We recommend installing our LibX plugin to provide a right-click menu for reloading a page you are currently viewing through Off Campus Sign In.
