The libraries has several classroom spaces we use for our instruction sessions and workshops. They are also available for a limited number of reservations each semester.
The SCALE UP classroom, located in 100S Newman Library, is a new kind of classroom. It has seating for 72 students, in groups of nine at each of the eight tables. Each table has its own 70" flat-panel display (making eight total). Laptops can be reserved along with a document camera. The room is available as a study space between 7:00pm and 7:00am weekdays, and all day on weekends.
The Newman classroom, located in 207A Newman Library, offers 24 student stations and one instructor station, two ceiling mounted projectors, an Elmo document camera, VHS/DVD player, campus cable, and Apple TV for projecting from iPads and iPhones. Additional chairs are available for larger classes.
The Torgersen Library classroom, located in 3310 Torgersen, offers 22 student stations and one instructor station, a ceiling-mounted projector and large screen monitor, an Elmo document camera, VHS/DVD player, and Apple TV for projecting from iPads and iPhones. Each desk can accommodate only one student, so this classroom will comfortably fit 22 students.
